Salone Satellite 2011 Pavillion 22/24 Stand B-18, Milano, Italia. Fiera Internazionale del Mobile. April 12-17

Visit the 15th Salone Satellite at Rho Fiera Milano, Italy during the next april 12 until april 17.The project to be presented in the 2011 Salone Satellite takes the reference of primitive architecture found in the typology of the Favela that existed in Puerto Rico and some parts of the Caribbean during the mid part of the twentieth century, prior to industrialization processes that emerged in these contexts after the Second World War.

The idea is to present a system of furniture with three pieces or case studies. This system becomes a multifunctional container with a high table and compartments made out of plywood and woven nylon nets. The 60cm X 50cm X 45 cm containers are made out of flexible nylon net allowing the possibility to be removable. The structural geometry is made out round wood sections that would host the flexible containers. The objects contained on the nets become visible thanks to the translucent qualities of the textures of the material. The visual compositions of form and matter transformed into the surfaces will be a reflection of our human activity.
